If you are looking for an example of successful economic relocalization efforts, you would do well to check out Great Barrington, MA, home of the EF Schumacher Society in the U.S.
Coming Home, an inspiring new 47-minute film by Chris Bedford, reveals how through decades of persistent effort, Society members pioneered the country's most successful alternative currency, the first CSA in the U.S., a microlending program to support small local businesses, the use of land trusts to make housing permanently affordable, and more.
Chris will be on hand to answer questions after the film showing.
To get to Native Sons Hall (site of Music Together classes), from Mission St. turn up Highland to High St. and turn right. Native Sons is right next to the pedestrian overpass. From the upper Westside, take High Street to the bottom, and from the lower Westside take Escalona to Highland, turn left, and right on High St.
